This book from 1890 is filled with so many gorgeous illustrations of all sorts of beautiful needle work from the 1890′s.  While most of us don’t have the time (or the skills) to do these patterns, they are a pleasure to read for their beauty and inspiration.

    Our wonderful group member Sadie, caught an error in Doreen’s scarf. Where I had typed
    ktog, it should have said k2tog. I’ve corrected and re-uploaded the pattern. Sorry, for any confusion.

    I made this flag into a purse and also used same theme for a handle…as a old new knitter I found out when joining the blue to the red and white stripes…last used color red or white behind or under the blue on the wrong side to prevent a gap.
